25.07.2025
Members of the HER (Human-Environment Research) team at LMU recently participated in the influential Forum on Scenarios for Climate and Societal Futures, hosted by the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures and the University of Leeds from 16-18 July 2025
This prestigious, multidisciplinary event brings together global experts to explore how scenarios can support climate action and societal transformation.

Dr. Alexandre Pereira Santos presented on The Future of Climate Adaptation in Jakarta: Estimating Long-Term Metropolitan Socioeconomic and Urban Challenges Using a Participatory Scenario Approach, highlighting findings from the Transcend project.
Also part of the Transcend project, Dr. Jan Petzold presented a poster titled Identifying Drivers of Vulnerability Across Scales Through Participatory Downscaling of Shared Socioeconomic Pathways: Insights from Two Global South Megacities.
Dr. Olabisi S. Obaitor gave an oral presentation from the FloodAdaptVN project titled Advancing Integrated Scenario Modeling for Urban Flood Risk: Lessons from Hue City.
